New students learn all that’s needed to start a career in the profitable industry of Microblading. Gain hands-on practice with 3 live models and practice skin. You’ll learn guidelines for sanitization, effective anesthetic techniques, intricacies of eyebrow shaping and coloring, color theory and pigment usage, and color mixing. The Academy of Hair Design was born out of a desire to produce industry professionals with the diverse skillset needed to create a top-notch salon experience for the citizens of Springfield, Missouri. In 1996, entrepreneurs Jerry BeVelle, David Gonzales, and Christie Gonzales were running a successful chain of nine salons. As the business grew it became a challenge to find talented barbers and cosmetologists. The trio knew they needed employees who could design hair while providing an enjoyable customer experience.

The school accepts cash and credit card payments (additional fees may be applied), cashier checks/money order payments. Payment arrangements must be made fifteen (15) days prior to start date. No other charges need to be paid to any other entity other than the institution that is required for participation in the education program. Because of inflationary cycles, and because we must occasionally change equipment to remain current, the school reserves the right for the following tuition information to be subject to change. Total charges for the current period of attendance; estimated total charges for the entire educational program; and the total charges the student is obligated to pay upon enrollment. The Academy’s high standards of excellence are reflected in our contemporary curriculum.

The Business Realities program teaches students the business skills necessary for succeeding in owning and operating salons. Through Business Realities, you will learn how to increase your average ticket, reservations, add-on services, and retail sales and learn other important ins and outs of the salon business. Costs for attending our training programs are listed below and are all-inclusive with your tuition, tool kit, books, registration fee, and student license fee.
